This January 2010 born gilt has had an exceptional year, she has attended relatively few shows, but certainly left her mark.
On her first outing to Cheshire Show in June 2010 she took first prize in the Duroc January gilt class and then went on to qualify for the Young Pig of the Year Finals. Her next trip out was to Shropshire Show where she again came first in her class (Any Other Modern Breeds).
At Hatfield Show in August, she came first in the Duroc January Gilt class and was Reserve Breed Champion. The Young Pig of the Year Finals were also held at Hatfield show where she achieved the acolade of Reserve Female Champion YPOY.
Foxglove is now running with the boar to have her first litter in early 2011.
